Eight Lancers Awarded NJCAA All-Academic Team

Lenoir Community College's athletic department has once again demonstrated its commitment to both athletic and academic excellence. This year, eight Lancers' student-athletes have been recognized on the NJCAA All-Academic Teams, an accolade that acknowledges their dedication to their academic responsibilities alongside their athletic pursuits.

Brighton Berthrong and Carter Starkweather have been named to the First Team, each achieving a perfect 4.00 GPA. This accomplishment highlights their ability to maintain academic excellence while participating in demanding athletic schedules.

The Second Team features Joslyn Evans and Shawn Gerard, both of whom have achieved GPAs between 3.80-3.99. Their inclusion on this team underscores their commitment to their studies and their ability to balance their academic and athletic responsibilities effectively.

The Third Team includes Tanner Cannon, Kayden Crawford, Braxton Davis, and Colin Wyant, all of whom have achieved GPAs between 3.60 and 3.79. Their representation on this team is a testament to their dedication to their studies and their ability to balance their academic and athletic commitments.

These eight student-athletes have demonstrated that success in athletics does not have to come at the expense of academic achievement. Their accomplishments serve as a model for their peers and future Lancers, illustrating that dedication and hard work can lead to excellence in both fields.

The achievements of these student-athletes reflect positively on Lenoir Community College's commitment to fostering an environment that encourages both academic and athletic excellence. The college takes pride in these student-athletes, who have shown that success can be achieved on the field, off the field, and most importantly, in the classroom.
