PREDICTION

South Granville is a very good team that finished second in a 2A/3A conference. They are battle-tested and have very nice sizes across the lineup. SG does have a sophomore, 6’6" 185-pound forward Mason Brown, but the star of this team is Pierce Pettit. Pettit is averaging 17 points and can shoot the light out as he averages over three made 3-pointers per game. SG also has a couple of other players who have had 20-point games.

Greene Central can match the depth. The Rams won in Kinston on Thursday night and have taken Farmville Central down to the wire in two games on the Jags' home court. The Rams have several scoring options, but Bingo Austin and KJ Harper must perform at their normal levels for the Rams to win.

If Greene Central can defend the three-point line, I believe the Rams will win. This will be a very tough matchup for the Rams, but if they show the "strain" and "grit" from the Kinston game, they could pull it off.

Prediction: GC 72 SG 66
