Winston-Salem State University guard Isaac Parson, a junior from Kinston, has been named HBCU National Player of the Week, showcasing his impressive skills with averages of 23.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, while maintaining a strong connection to his Kinston roots.
In standout performances that included 18 kills, 7 service points, and 22 digs across two games, Greene Central's Donley Phillips has been named our Female Athlete of the Week.
Fuller had one of the best performances in the area, rushing 17 times for 171 yards and scoring two touchdowns. His performance at running back, which was undoubtedly supported by his teammates, accounted for the Hawks' lone touchdowns in a 46-14 loss to Greene Central in Week 1
Rouse is a key component for the Jones Senior volleyball team. She had an excellent week on the court with 12 service points, 12 aces, 10 kills, and 8 digs. Her performance helped prevail her team to two wins in week 1.
