GC Middle School boys basketball closed out its pre-Christmas schedule with a strong 44–24 win over Frink, improving to 7–1 overall and 6–0 in conference play.
The game opened slowly for GCMS, as Frink held a 7–4 lead at the end of the first quarter, but momentum shifted quickly in the second.
“We started off slow against a good Frink team,” head coach Steven Criste said. “The starters went on a 19–0 run in the second quarter and never looked back.”
That run proved to be the turning point, as GCMS took control and never allowed Frink back into the game. The defense tightened, and the offense found its rhythm heading into halftime.
Kyler Davis led GCMS with 13 points, while Kam Jones added 10 points as the Rams pulled away over the final two quarters.
With the win, GCMS heads into the Christmas break sitting atop the conference standings.
“We enter Christmas break 7–1 and 6–0 in conference play,” Criste said.
GC Middle School will return to action on January 8, 2026, when it travels to Welcome Middle School.
