Frink Middle School earns 3-1 win over Woodington, improves to 2-0 in conference play
Frink Middle School picked up a 3-1 victory over Woodington on Tuesday, using a strong first half and timely second-half scoring to stay unbeaten in conference play.
Frink took a 1-0 lead into halftime and built on that advantage after the break, adding two more goals to go ahead 3-0 late in the match. Woodington scored its lone goal in the final two minutes, but the outcome was never in doubt.
Abner Perez opened the scoring for Frink, setting the tone early. Camden Tyndall added to the lead with a header, and Sammy Ramirez capped the scoring effort with the team’s third goal.
Defensively, Frink was anchored by goalkeeper Alexis Diaz, who delivered a standout performance in net. Diaz made multiple key saves throughout the match, helping maintain control and preserve the lead during critical moments.
With the win, Frink moves to 3-3 overall and remains undefeated in conference play at 2-0. The team will return to action after spring break on April 16 against Rochelle.
