Greene Central's Rylee Greene Honored with Heart of a Champion Award

SNOW HILL — Greene Central High School senior Rylee Greene has been selected as one of the 2024–2025 recipients of the NCHSAA’s prestigious Heart of a Champion award, recognizing student-athletes who exemplify sportsmanship, leadership, and service across North Carolina.

A captain on the Rams’ women’s tennis team and the school’s valedictorian, Greene has balanced competitive athletics with academic excellence and community impact. Beyond her accomplishments in the classroom and on the court, she also found time to give back in a big way—hosting her own youth tennis clinics to help introduce and grow the sport in the local community.

In addition to her work with youth athletes, Greene serves in multiple school leadership roles and is a certified pharmacy technician, demonstrating both initiative and maturity beyond her years.

Whether she's competing for the Rams, leading student organizations, or serving her hometown, Greene embodies everything the Heart of a Champion award is meant to celebrate.
