Greene County 4-H Shooting Sports Team Members Qualify for State Tournament

Greene County, NC – The Greene County 4-H Shooting Sports team traveled to the Eastern 4-H Center in Columbia, NC, on Saturday, August 23, to compete in the Eastern Regional Shooting Sports Tournament. Thirteen team members earned qualifying scores and will advance to the 4-H State Tournament on Saturday, October 4, at the Millstone 4-H Center. There, they will compete against top youth shooters from across North Carolina.

In the junior shotgun division, qualifiers include Sawyer Edwards, Coy Beddard, Logan Cobb, Quincy Honeycutt, and Hayden Perry. In junior rifle telescopic competition, Quincy Honeycutt, John Elks, Hayden Perry, and Blair Criswell advanced. Additional junior qualifiers include Hayden Perry and John Elks in archery compound, and Walker Wade in air pistol.

In the senior division, Ayden Jarman qualified in both shotgun and rifle open sight. Wriston Honeycutt also advanced in rifle open sight, alongside Brennan Edwards. Parker Johnson earned a spot in the archery compound match, while Wriston Honeycutt and Nicholas Wade both qualified in air rifle.

The Greene County 4-H Shooting Sports team is proud of the hard work and dedication of its members and looks forward to strong representation at the state level.
