Dunn enters the Transfer Portal

Former Kinston star Damian Dunn, who played three years at Kinston High School, announced this weekend he will enter the transfer portal. Dunn averaged 15.3 points this season and 14.9 last season for Temple University.

Dunn was second on the team in points scored (473), third on the team in three-pointers made (48) and three-point field goal percentage (.348) this season.

A three-star prospect in the 2019 class, Dunn was sidelined for the first 12 games of his freshman season with a right foot injury suffered in the preseason. He appeared in one game, re-injured his foot, and missed the remainder of the season.

Following the 2020–21 season, Dunn earned a spot on the Athletic Conference All-Rookie team. He earned Second Team all-AAC honors following the 2021–22 season and was selected for Third Team all-conference after this season.

Dunn will enter the portal as a graduate transfer with two years of eligibility remaining. He will be eligible to play immediately with a new school. Temple, the redshirt sophomore, started in 58 games while averaging nearly 15 points and four rebounds per game.
