Kinston, Greene Central, and South Lenoir Earn Spots in NCHSAA Football Playoffs

NCHSAA Football Playoff Brackets Released

The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has officially released its football playoff brackets, and three local teams — Kinston, Greene Central, and South Lenoir — have earned postseason berths.

In the 3A East bracket, No. 14 Kinston will host No. 19 North Moore in the first round. The winner will advance to face No. 3 Midway in the second round.

No. 17 Greene Central will hit the road to take on No. 16 Wallace-Rose Hill. The winner of that matchup will meet top-seeded James Kenan in the next round.

No. 24 South Lenoir will also travel in the first round, taking on No. 9 Ayden-Grifton. The winner will advance to play No. 8 Whiteville.
