Lady Rams Roll Past Grifton on 8th Grade Night, Improve to 12-0
The Lady Rams continued their dominant run on Jan. 22, shutting out Grifton 46-0 on 8th Grade Night to remain undefeated on the season.
QuaViyah Smith led the scoring effort with 14 points, while Chelsea Wilkes added 10. India Speight finished with eight points, followed by Cianni Hill with six. Harmony Cordon and Kassidy Harper chipped in four points each as the Lady Rams showcased balanced scoring from top to bottom.
The win pushed the Lady Rams to 10-0 in conference play and 12-0 overall, solidifying their spot in first place. Through 12 games, the team is averaging 44 points per game while holding opponents to just 10.6 points per contest. Eight of those games have seen opponents held to single digits.
Head coach Tonya Hooks credited the team’s consistent effort and focus as the season winds down.
“The girls are working hard every day and staying locked in,” Hooks said. “Our goal is to keep getting better and finish the season strong.”
The Lady Rams return to action Monday with a road matchup against Ayden as they continue their push toward an undefeated conference season.
