Lenoir, Greene and Jones County Fall Sports Standings

With the 2026 fall sports season underway, here is a look at the current records for high school football, volleyball and boys soccer teams across Lenoir, Greene and Jones counties.

The standings include Kinston, North Lenoir, South Lenoir, Greene Central, Jones Senior and Bethel Christian Academy. Standings as of 9/1 3:56pm

Football Standings

1. Greene Central — 2-0

2. South Lenoir — 2-0

3. North Lenoir — 0-2

4. Kinston — 0-2

5. Jones Senior — 0-2

Volleyball Standings

1. North Lenoir — 7-1

2. Bethel Christian — 4-1

3. Jones Senior — 5-2

4. Greene Central — 4-5

5. South Lenoir — 2-5

6. Kinston — 1-5

North Lenoir has opened the season 7-1 after starting 6-1 through its first seven matches. Bethel Christian has also gotten off to a strong start at 3-1, including a 3-0 victory over Jones Senior on Aug. 28. Jones Senior is 5-2 following that loss.

Boys Soccer Standings

1. Jones Senior — 6-0-1

2. Bethel Christian — 1-1

3. South Lenoir — 1-1-1

4. North Lenoir — 0-2-2

5. Greene Central — 1-4

Jones Senior has produced the best start among the area's boys soccer teams, remaining unbeaten through its first seven matches at 6-0-1.
