North Lenoir Cheerleaders Crowned Three Rivers 4A Conference Champions

The North Lenoir cheerleading team delivered a championship performance at North Pitt High School, earning the Three Rivers 4A Conference title and finishing ahead of Washington, which placed second.

Head coach Jessica Murphy said the team’s confidence and effort were evident throughout the competition.

“The girls performed with confidence and heart. They left everything on the mat, and it showed.”

Murphy credited the championship to the team’s relentless preparation, highlighting the early mornings and long days that defined the season.

“The girls have put in countless hours, 6 a.m. practices, after school practices before games, and extra work whenever it was needed. Their dedication really paid off and we couldn't be more proud.”

She also expressed appreciation for those who supported the program behind the scenes.

“On behalf of our whole coaching staff, which includes Tanecia Sutton, Kahalia Livingston, Brittany Harrison, we also want to say a special thank you to Rhonda Greene, Heather Carson and the NLHS Booster Club for their support this season.”

The conference championship capped a strong competition season for North Lenoir, which also earned first place at the Lenoir County Fair Cheer Competition and second place at the Wayne County Fair competition.
