Dates, Site Announced for 2A Softball Finals: North Lenoir to Play West Wilkes at UNCG

North Lenoir to Face West Wilkes in 2A State Championship Series at UNCG

The final stop of the season is set, and North Lenoir is one series away from a state title.

The Hawks (20-3) will square off with West Wilkes (25-3) in the 2025 NCHSAA 2A Softball State Championship Series at UNC Greensboro’s Baseball Stadium. Game 1 is scheduled for Friday, May 30 at 5 p.m., followed by Game 2 on Saturday, May 31 at 11 a.m. If necessary, a decisive Game 3 will be played Saturday at 5 p.m.

North Lenoir enters the state finals riding a wave of postseason momentum after clinching the 2A East Regional title earlier this week. West Wilkes, winners of the West Region, brings a 25-win season and one of the top records in 2A Softball records into the best-of-three championship series.

This marks North Lenoir’s first appearance in the state championship series since their 2005 title season.
