North Lenoir’s senior night didn’t end the way the Lady Hawks had hoped.

West Craven spoiled the home finale, handing North Lenoir a 51-43 loss as the Lady Hawks honored their seniors.

Senior night energy was evident from the opening tip, as North Lenoir competed hard on its home floor. The Lady Hawks looked determined to send their seniors out with a win, matching West Craven’s intensity throughout much of the first half.

Sophomore point guard Casidee Fraser led North Lenoir offensively, finishing with 13 points. Senior Sieanna Robinson and junior Ta’shenna Lynch each added nine points, providing steady contributions throughout the night.

North Lenoir recognized its senior class: Amiah Jones, Sieanna Robinson, and Neveah Adams — three players who have helped shape the program and its culture.

Head Coach Howard Wooley reflected on what this year’s senior class meant to him and the team.

“ We are proud of all of them. This senior group is differnt, they had to deal with alot. They all took the challenge and did well.”

Despite the effort, West Craven found key baskets at crucial moments to create separation. North Lenoir continued to battle and trimmed the deficit at different stretches, but timely stops and late execution allowed West Craven to secure the eight-point win.

The Lady Hawks showed resilience down the stretch, refusing to fold in front of their home crowd, but the comeback fell just short.

North Lenoir now turns its attention to its final regular-season game on the road at North Johnston. With postseason play around the corner, the Lady Hawks will look to regroup and build momentum heading into the conference tournament.

Senior night may not have ended in victory, but the season is far from over — and North Lenoir still has an opportunity to make a statement when the games matter most.
