Most Important Games
Jones Senior (8/22): An opportunity to start the season with a win and build confidence.
North Lenoir (8/29): No longer a conference matchup, but still one of the biggest rivalry games of the year.
Spring Creek (9/12): A winnable game — South Lenoir must take advantage of opportunities in this rebuilding season.
Most Important Player
Christian Wooten (So., ATH) – Just a sophomore, but the type of player Coach Proctor can build around. Wooten has big-play ability, a high football IQ, and plenty of time to grow into a star.
Players to Look Out For
Mike Jones (LB): The heart of the defense. Strong, athletic, and physical — he’ll need to play big this year.
Jackson Owens (ATH): A versatile athlete who can contribute in multiple ways.
Strengths
Manageable non-conference schedule that gives them a chance to build momentum
Weaknesses
Lack of experience
Depth concerns
Confidence building in a rebuilding year
Trey’s Take
I really like how Coach Proctor built this non-conference schedule. It gives the Blue Devils a chance to pick up early wins, stay engaged, and develop throughout the season. This is still a rebuilding program, but the early opportunities matter.
Schedule Prediction: 3–7 Regular Season
Final Word: South Lenoir is taking steps forward under Coach Proctor, and while this season may come with growing pains, the foundation is being laid for the future.
