Athletes from Greene Central and Kinston High Schools delivered impressive performances at the NCHSAA State Indoor Track Championships, earning top finishes and contributing valuable points to their teams' overall standings.
"Girls in Kinston that play basketball don't get as many chances as boys and we get overlooked. I want to be the person that can give girls that opportunity," Kelly said.
The event, free to all ages, is scheduled for August 24 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., with registration beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Kinston High School.
