Publishing Automation Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Neuse News Sports (NNS) is operated by Magic Mile Media, Inc. This policy explains how information is handled by NNS Publishing Automation, an internal system designed to distribute published NNS articles through our official social media accounts.

This policy applies to the publishing automation and its connected services. It does not replace privacy notices that apply to other features of our website or to third-party platforms.

Purpose of the automation

The system is designed to publish article images and excerpts from neusenewssports.com to our official Instagram account, @neusenews.sports. Our Instagram-to-Facebook sharing arrangement distributes those posts to the Neuse News Sports Facebook Page. A separate automation identifies the corresponding Facebook post and adds the original article URL as a comment.

Only authorized personnel connect and administer these accounts. Readers do not need to sign in or authorize access to their personal accounts to read our articles or social media posts.

Information processed

Depending on the connected services and permissions, the automation may process:

  • Published article titles, excerpts, URLs, images, publication dates, and unique article identifiers. This content may include names and photographs already included in our news coverage.

  • Account and Page names, identifiers, and permissions needed to connect our official accounts.

  • Social media post and comment content, identifiers, links, and timestamps needed to match posts and verify article-link comments.

  • Authorization tokens used to connect approved accounts and services.

  • Processing records, publishing results, and error logs used to prevent duplicates and resolve problems.

  • Contact information and details provided when someone submits a privacy or data-deletion request.

The automation is not designed to access readers’ private messages, personal contact lists, or unrelated account information. We do not ask readers to provide passwords or access tokens.

How information is used and shared

We use this information to distribute NNS content, identify the correct Facebook post, add article links, prevent duplicate posts or comments, maintain account security, troubleshoot failures, and respond to privacy requests.

The workflow uses Squarespace, Meta platforms including Instagram and Facebook, and Zapier. Information needed for their roles may be processed or stored by these providers. Published images, captions, and article-link comments are publicly visible. Providers also handle information under their own privacy policies and terms.

We do not sell personal information obtained through this automation or use it to build advertising audiences. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, or misuse.

Retention and security

We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above and applicable legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and its purpose. Limited article and post identifiers may be retained to prevent duplicate publication. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or de-identified.

Access to nonpublic records and authorization credentials is limited to authorized personnel and service providers that need it to operate the system. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Data-deletion requests

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by this automation:

  1. Email info@neusenewssports.com with the subject line “NNS Publishing Automation Data Request.”

  2. Describe your request and include the relevant account name, article URL, post URL, or other information that will help us locate the records.

  3. Provide an email address where we can respond. Never send passwords or access tokens. We will explain any additional identity verification needed before asking for supporting information.

We may request limited additional information to verify your identity or authority. We will review the request, delete eligible information under our control, and explain any information we must retain, consistent with applicable law and platform requirements.

Authorized account administrators may also revoke the automation’s access through the relevant service’s settings. Revoking access does not automatically delete previously stored records.

Deleting automation records does not automatically remove published articles, images, social media posts, or comments. If your request concerns published content, include its URL so we can review that request as well. Information independently retained by third-party platforms is subject to their policies and deletion procedures.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy as the automation or its data practices change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised date.
