BJ Murphy: Your News Experience Just Got an Upgrade

BJ Murphy: Your News Experience Just Got an Upgrade

While I've stepped back from day-to-day editorial decisions, I've shifted my focus to growing our news portfolio, expanding our high school sports coverage into Wayne County, and delivering stronger video and social media services to our clients. That work continues, and today I'm excited to share a couple of updates that I believe will improve your experience across all of our platforms.

Listen to Any Story

We've added a free "Listen to this story" feature across Neuse News, Neuse News Sports, NNS Wayne, and NC Political News. We know reading isn't always convenient, and sometimes you just need to hear the news. This feature is live now and works on every story we've ever published, going all the way back to June 27, 2018.

Print Any Story, Clean and Ad-Free

We've also built a custom Print Friendly option that gives you a clean, ad-free version of any story, including the main image, title, date, author, and full text. No clutter. Just the story. Like the audio feature, this is available immediately on every piece of content across all platforms.

Both features are free and require no account or subscription.

We are grateful for every reader, advertiser, columnist, and supporter who has continued to believe in what we are building. As 2026 unfolds, we are actively exploring ways to generate more content, offer exclusive behind-the-scenes access, and serve this community better.

If you'd like to support our work by sponsoring a special broadcast, becoming a monthly advertiser, purchasing an ad to promote your upcoming event, supporting our student-athletes, or subscribing to our free newsletters, reach out at info@magicmilemedia.com or call 252.572.1330.

To your success,
BJ Murphy, President and CEO
