Frink closed out the season the right way.

The Cavaliers capped an unbeaten conference run with a 3-1 win over Woodington at Woodington Middle School, securing their first conference championship since 2018.

Irvin Rodgers got Frink on the board in the first half, but Woodington answered with a goal from Logan Acuna to send the game into halftime tied at 1-1.

Coming out of the break, the Cavaliers took control. Rodgers delivered again with his second goal of the night, and Nic Castaneda added an insurance goal to seal the win.

Defensively, Frink continued its dominant conference play. Goalkeeper Alexis Diaz, along with Camden Tyndall, Emmy Chase, and Mason Smith, anchored a unit that has been tough to break all season.

In six conference wins, the Cavaliers scored 37 goals while allowing just five.

The championship marks a milestone for head coach John Yates and assistant coach John Smith, who have now led the program to a title in just their second year.
