Lady Trojans pick up their first win of the season

The Lady Trojans'' recent match against American Leadership Academy resulted in a 5-0 victory for Bethel Christian Academy, thanks to strong defense and teamwork on offense.

According to Coach Scott Wright, the team is young but full of potential. "We have several first-time soccer players on the team mixed in with the veteran players from last year. We are improving each game," Wright said.

The team's goalie, Lillie Barnhill, is an eighth-grader who has been keeping busy during matches. The defense is anchored by seventh-grader Alaina Harrison.

Player of the game, Olivia Fulcher, scored three goals, while Addison Baker contributed an assist and a goal, and Peyton Manning scored a goal.

"I'm looking forward to seeing all the players grow as the season progresses," Wright said. "We have four ninth-graders that start, and I know they'll continue to be an important part of the team."

With their first win of the season, the Lady Trojans now have a 1-3 record. They will be facing off against Liberty Christian Academy in their next match.
