Lancers Fight Back from the Brink, Set for Rematch with Pitt CC

Lancers Fight Back from the Brink, Set for Rematch with Pitt CC

After falling to rival Pitt Community College in the second round, the Lenoir Community College (LCC) Lancers found themselves one loss away from elimination. Undeterred, the team stormed back in the losers' bracket, first defeating Bryant & Stratton 5-3, then taking down a formidable Cleveland Community College squad (30-17) in a tight 5-4 contest.

Against Cleveland Community College, Carson Krasula pitched 7 2/3 innings, while Thomas Hill recorded the last out in the eighth and struck out the side in the ninth to secure the save.

Now, the Lancers are set to face Pitt once more, today at 3 PM. The stakes are high, as the loser goes home while the winner advances to the championship game at 7 PM on the same day. If the Lancers manage to triumph over Pitt and defeat Catawba Valley in the first game, they'll play again tomorrow against Catawba Valley for the Southeast District Championship.
