North Lenoir, Frink Capture Division Titles at 2025 Lenoir County Fair Cheerleading Competition
KINSTON, N.C. — The 2025 Lenoir County Fair Cheerleading Competition brought out strong performances under near-perfect weather Tuesday night, as North Lenoir High School claimed first place in the high school division and also captured the Best Overall Performance Award across both high school and middle school levels.
South Lenoir placed second in the high school category, with East Duplin earning third.
In the middle school division, Frink Middle School came away with first place, followed by Contentnea-Savannah in second and Woodington in third.
Last year’s competition (2024) saw a different outcome, with South Lenoir High School winning the high school division and the overall award, while North Lenoir placed second and East Duplin finished third. On the middle school side, Contentnea-Savannah won first, with Woodington taking second and Frink finishing third.
This year’s fair was held in comfortable conditions — not too hot, not too cold — with just the occasional light sprinkle of rain every few minutes.
The cheerleading excitement continues as teams including North Lenoir, South Lenoir, East Duplin, Woodington, Contentnea-Savannah, and Frink will all be back in action at the Goldsboro Fair Cheerleading Competition tonight (October 1st).
