Goldsboro, NC – The spotlight was on spirit Wednesday night at the Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair Cheerleading Competition, where squads from across Eastern North Carolina took the stage and battled for top honors in front of a lively crowd.

In the middle school division, Woodington claimed first place with a sharp and energized routine, followed by Wayne School of Engineering in second and E.B. Frink in third.

The high school division brought even more excitement, with Eastern Wayne earning first place after a commanding performance. North Lenoir finished second, while C.B. Aycock rounded out the top three.

The results reflected a shift from Tuesday night’s Lenoir County Fair Cheerleading Competition, where North Lenoir had taken first place and the Best Overall Performance Award. On Wednesday, however, it was Eastern Wayne’s night to shine, showing how competitive and dynamic cheerleading has become across the region.

From high-flying stunts to booming crowd chants, the night highlighted not only the athleticism of the teams but also the pride and dedication behind every routine. For many fans, the back-to-back competitions in Lenoir and Wayne County provided a unique chance to see just how deep the cheer talent runs in Eastern North Carolina.
