North Lenoir Volleyball Rolls to 3-0 Start; South Lenoir, North Lenoir Soccer Earn Wins

North Lenoir volleyball continued its strong start Monday, sweeping Wilson Hunt 25-23, 25-20, 25-14 to move to 3-0 on the season.

Lakyn Whitley powered the Hawks with 14 kills, eight digs, and eight service points. Skye Doyle added 22 assists and five digs, while Raye Tilghman chipped in six digs and 12 service points. Kennedi Starkie controlled the net with four blocks.

North Lenoir returns home Wednesday to face Pamlico.

In boy’s soccer, South Lenoir opened its season with a 6-4 victory over Havelock. The Blue Devils (1-0) will host Lejeune on Wednesday.

North Lenoir boys soccer picked up a 3-0 shutout over Spring Creek, evening its record at 1-1. The Hawks will face Southern Wayne on Wednesday.
