Quinton Coples to Headline APA Football Camp in Kinston
KINSTON, N.C. — Arendell Parrott Academy is set to host its annual Football Day Camp on Saturday, June 14, with a special guest who needs no introduction in Kinston — former NFL defensive end and UNC standout Quinton Coples.
The one-day camp, running from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the APA football field, is open to rising 3rd through 8th graders and costs just $20. Each participant will receive a T-shirt, snack, and water — with the T-shirt guaranteed for those registered by June 1.
Coples, a Kinston native who was selected No. 16th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft by the New York Jets, brings a wealth of experience to the field. A dominant force at UNC and in the NFL, Coples’ return to his hometown offers young athletes a chance to learn from one of the area’s most successful football products.
The camp will be led by Parrott head coach Matt Beaman, alongside defensive coordinator Chris Brown and receivers coach Denzel Keyes. Former and current Patriot players will also be on hand to assist and mentor campers.
Registration is available at www.parrottacademy.org, and early sign-up is encouraged.
