SupaStarz Athletics: Lagrange Family Brings New Opportunities For The Youth

Local cheerleading coach and North Lenoir teacher, LaPorcha Gardner, is launching a new venture in her home town of LaGrange, NC. SupaStarz Athletics, a multi-purpose athletic facility, is set to officially open on August 19th. The announcement of the grand opening of this community-focused endeavor, backed by Gardner's family, brings much-needed excitement and anticipation to a small town in need of additional recreational activities for its youth.

"SupaStarz Athletics isn't just about cheerleading. We are offering ninja classes, tumbling classes, recreational cheer, all-star cheer, after-school programs, and even birthday parties," Gardner explained enthusiastically. "Our classes are designed for everyone, starting at the tender age of two!"

Gardner's passion for cheerleading and her dedication to her hometown played pivotal roles in the inception of SupaStarz Athletics. Having been a cheerleader since middle school, she felt a strong desire to give back to her community in a meaningful and personal way.

"LaGrange is home to me. I spent many summers at my grandmother's house on Wooten St., and this gym is a tribute to her," said Gardner. "She would be thrilled to know that her little LaGrange now has something substantial to offer the youth of our area."

The Gardner family is heavily invested in this venture. Donta Gardner, LaPorcha's husband, is a staunch supporter of her dream, and their children are also closely involved. Their daughter, Trinity Robinson, is entering her senior season of high school cheerleading, and their son, Cameron Gardner, shares the family's enthusiasm for the project.

The mission of SupaStarz Athletics goes beyond just providing a fun, safe place for kids to hang out. At its heart, it's about instilling core values into each participating athlete. "Our main focus is to instill Self-Confidence, Teamwork, Ambition, Respect, and Zealousness in every single athlete. This naturally spells out 'STARZ'," Gardner emphasized.

The anticipation continues to build as the website for SupaStarz Athletics is set to go live on July 5th, just ahead of the grand opening in August. Through her vision and drive, LaPorcha Gardner and her family are creating an outlet for LaGrange's youth to grow, learn, and shine as "SupaStarz."
