Deitrich Williams captured state championships in the high jump (6-6) and triple jump (44-0.5), Keith Neal finished second in the shot put (45-6.5), Darryl Parham placed third in the 55-meter hurdles (7.95), and Kinston’s girls added a runner-up finish in the 4x200 relay (1:51.33) as the Vikings’ boys secured a fifth-place team finish at the NCHSAA 3A Indoor State Championships.

Greene Central's girls' track team secured the EPC Championship, led by Coach of the Year Mattocks, with standout performances by Marshayla, the Female Field Athlete of the Year, and DJ Williams, who was named Boys Field Athlete of the Year, while the boys' team finished in third place.
