As anticipation builds for the 2026 high school football season, Neuse News Sports is set to debut a new weekly feature that will spotlight the top players and teams across Eastern North Carolina.
Beginning this week, The Trey Scott Sports Show will launch the East of I-95 Summer Series, a 10-week countdown examining the best talent east of Interstate 95 heading into the upcoming football season.
Each week, Trey Scott will break down a different position group or category, providing analysis, rankings, recruiting insight, and discussion on the players and teams expected to make the biggest impact this fall.
The series begins with the Top 10 Quarterbacks in the East, highlighting some of the most productive and talented signal-callers from across the region. From there, the countdown will continue throughout the summer with position-by-position rankings before culminating with the Top 50 Players and Top 25 Teams in Eastern North Carolina.
