Wooten Leads South Lenoir to 28-14 Victory Over Lejeune
South Lenoir overcame a sloppy first half with a dominant ground attack, rushing for 337 yards to defeat Lejeune 28-14 for its second win of the season.
Vikings Hurdle Over Hawks 42-7
Kinston wasted no time Friday night, rolling past county rival North Lenoir 42-7 in a game that was never in doubt. The Vikings built a 42-0 lead before the Hawks finally scored on a kickoff return late in the fourth quarter. The victory marked Kinston’s ninth straight win in the rivalry.

Greene County 4-H Shooting Sports Team Members Qualify for State Tournament
The Greene County 4-H Shooting Sports team had 13 members qualify at the Eastern Regional Tournament and will advance to compete at the 4-H State Tournament on October 4.
