GCMS completed an undefeated conference run and captured its third straight Division 2 regular season championship by closing the regular season with wins over Ayden and Grifton.
Kinston’s JV boys used aggressive man-to-man defense and strong ball movement to pull away late and defeat Ayden-Grifton 59–32, improving to 9–5 on the season.
Coming off a blowout win in their previous game, the Greene Central Rams looked to carry that momentum into their matchup against the Tarboro Vikings. The Rams did just that, earning their second straight dominant victory. A huge third quarter proved to be the difference as Greene Central pulled away for a 73-42 win.

Greene Central finished second overall at the EPC Individual Wrestling Tournament, highlighted by championship performances from Preston Hunt (175) and Steve Marquez (190) while placing five wrestlers in the finals and adding three third-place finishes.
Greene Central split its home conference match Wednesday, falling to Farmville Central 42–39 before rebounding with a 52–11 win over Tarboro.

South Lenoir wrestling completed one of its busiest stretches of the season last week, competing in three events over seven days: the Paul T. Mills Jr. Memorial Invitational, a conference dual at Pamlico County, and the East Central 3A/4A Championship. The Blue Devils logged multiple placers, six total pins in championship competition, and more than 20 individual match wins during the week.
