Greene Central, Kinston Post Strong Showings at 3A Indoor State Championships

Deitrich Williams captured state championships in the high jump (6-6) and triple jump (44-0.5), Keith Neal finished second in the shot put (45-6.5), Darryl Parham placed third in the 55-meter hurdles (7.95), and Kinston’s girls added a runner-up finish in the 4x200 relay (1:51.33) as the Vikings’ boys secured a fifth-place team finish at the NCHSAA 3A Indoor State Championships.

LCC lets early lead slip in season opener at Methodist

Lenoir Community College collected 12 hits behind multi-hit performances from Brennan Moran, Charlie Sindahl, Aiden Taylor and Cam Thompson, got two scoreless innings from starter Riley Williams, but defensive miscues and a late rally allowed Methodist JV to pull away in a 10–8 season-opening loss.
